Over the past three years, this little site - one that started as a hypothetical conversation during a friendly horror movie night gathering - has grown into something which both Mike and I are quite proud. From the outset, the two of us have been committed to a focus on independent genre films. Though we often write about larger budget mainstream horror films, we've remained true to that initial goal. With that philosophy came the discovery that there are tons of great independent genre films out there, the likes of which may never be seen by film fans. In our own small way we hoped to remedy that by creating All Things Horror Presents, a screening series aimed at bringing the best genre offerings to the Boston area. Our home base became the Somerville Theatre, a spot that offered both convenience, affordability, and a fun atmosphere for our brand of entertainment.

It's now three years later, and All Things Horror Presents has hosted dozens of features, countless shorts, as well as the Viscera Film Festival, and the world premiere of the Etheria Film Festival. We capped off each year with a special program called Shudder Fest held during the Halloween season. Needless to say, we've been busy. We could not, however, keep it going without the help of a myriad of friends, filmmakers, fellow writers, and other wonderful supporters.

To celebrate our third year anniversary, we're hosting a special FREE screening of Malaysian/Singapore film called TWISTED, directed by Yee-wei Chai (Blood Ties). Twisted is a supernatural horror anthology about fate, karma, and retribution from beyond the grave. The film is comprised of three intersecting stories about abuse, cannibalism, and even a little demonic possession. It's full of very dark humor and has a refreshing cartoonish quality. We're sure horror fans will dig it, so we hope you'll join us on Saturday, January 19 - 8 pm at the Somerville Theatre.

  1. Sigh. So tempting, but it's smack in the middle of Arisia, alas, and I'm actually moderating a panel called "A History of Horror Films" right at that time.

I'd love to attend that panel discussion.
Do you know if anyone will record video?
