We wanted to bring to your attention a very important fundraising project that we back 100%. There's still time to help reach its reasonable goal:
Our very good friend Chris over at The Conduit Speaks and The Conduit Cast is currently fundraising to self-publish an awesome children's horror book series. We applaud his decision to go the route of total independence. In order to do so, he's going to need our support.
Zombies Ate My Homework: A Jasper Trout Adventure is the first in a series of imaginative horror books aimed at bringing families together through the power of ZOMBIES. These books are sure to please horror lovers of all ages. With stunning art by K. Brandon Wilt, the Jasper Trout books would be an amazing way to spend a rainy day, or end the day as bedtime reading for kiddos who like a nice jolt before the drift off to sleepyland. I would have loved sharing something like this with my little brother or nephews when they were younger. Even though they're older now, and despite the fact that I don't have kids of my own, I'm STILL GETTING A COPY!
Chris is a solid human, honest writer, and firm supporter of independent art. We back him 100%, and look forward to seeing him meet his goal of getting this series out into the world. Check out the perks that go along with supporting the project. They include everything from a signed copy of the book to amazing original art prints based on the illustrations of Mr. Wilt!
Make sure you watch the video on the kickstarter fundraising page. It's clear that Chris' heart is in all the right places. A devoted father himself, he obviously had the hearts of children in mind when he developed this series. Whether or not he keeps those hearts in a jar on his desk remains to be seen. (Note: This is something horror writer Robert Bloch once said. There is no evidence to support that Chris actually collects children's hearts. WINK WINK...call the cops)
Deep down, don't we know what the world really needs right now is a rambunctious kid killing gnarly zombies with a slingshot? YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!
